Mark L. Jones Partner

Mark Jones has substantial experience in the energy, financial services, manufacturing, transportation, construction, renewables and technology industries.  His depth of experience has given him a high level of proficiency in handling a broad range of client issues and needs.

Many of his clients rely upon him to act as their outside general counsel for mid- to small-size public and private companies.  Many of his clients have complimented his business approach to the resolution of legal issues, his creativity and his fearless loyalty to them in their time of need.

Mark has been the lead counsel for more than 200 mergers and acquisitions transactions, with a significant portion of those transactions in the energy sector.

He has also been the lead lawyer in more than 200 public and private securities offerings, and has been involved with more than 70 private placements of debt and equity for early-stage, developing and mature companies on the issuer and underwriting side of such transactions.

He has been retained by a number of his clients to handle serial acquisitions for them, in seven different industries, allowing his in depth business knowledge to applied to all of his projects.

Having served as in-house counsel for a number of years, Mark understands each client’s sense of urgency and needs, and is very responsive.  He has a pragmatic business approach and provides creative solutions to client issues.

Prior to joining Egan Nelson LLP, Mark was a partner at Norton Rose Fulbright (US) LLP and Baker Hostetler LLP as Business Leader of the Houston office.
