Muran is a corporate attorney in the NYC office. Her practice focuses on representing market-leading startups, emerging growth companies, and established businesses on formation, corporate governance matters, angel and venture capital financings, private equity, mergers and acquisitions, and securities law compliance matters.
Muran has guided numerous companies through successful financing rounds, helping clients secure capital from premier accelerators, angel investors and venture capital firms. Her cross-border expertise extends to advising European and UK-based companies in securing investments from both U.S. and international investors, demonstrating her ability to navigate complex multi-jurisdictional transactions.
In her role as outside general counsel, Muran provides comprehensive legal guidance to clients, partnering with other E/N specialists to deliver full-spectrum legal support. She helps clients navigate daily operational challenges, mitigate legal risks, and structure critical business relationships. She regularly advises boards of directors and executive teams on corporate governance matters and strategic transactions, serving as a key partner in her clients’ growth trajectories.
Drawing on extensive personal and professional experience in both domestic and international markets, Muran brings particular insight to technology-driven enterprises, including companies in the artificial intelligence, semiconductor, and healthcare sectors. She also maintains a robust practice serving consumer products brands and other pioneering companies at the forefront of their industries, helping them scale while maintaining regulatory compliance.
Prior to joining Egan Nelson LLP, Muran practiced in the New York office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP, and the Washington D.C. office of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP. Her professional background also includes clerking as an extern at the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York and working at the World Bank Group in Washington D.C.
